Censtar wins the bid for Sinopec’s Winter Olympics Hydrogen Station project

At the end of 2020, Censtar won the bid for the hydrogen station project of Sinopec Beijing Petroleum Branch as the top candidate on the shortlist. This is the first time in the Sinopec system to invite bids based on a shortlist. The 70MPa hydrogen station will be used to serve the Beijing Winter Olympics. Winning this bid demonstrates that Censtar possesses strong strength and potential in the field of hydrogen energy.

Fuel Winter Olympics with hydrogen

Clean energy supply is a new highlight of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and also a concrete measure adopted for a green Olympics. It is also required by the Olympic Agenda 2020 and the New Norm regarding sustainability.

Beijing has carried out a series of supporting measures to ensure hydrogen energy safety for the Winter Olympics. For example, thousands of fuel-cell buses will be in service for the Winter Olympics. Beijing, the host city, and Zhangjiakou, another competition zone, will act as demonstration cities for hydrogen fuel cell vehicle operation. The application in the two cities will be referential for future hydrogen energy development.

This international bid invitation initiated by Sinopec, the official partner of the Beijing Winter Olympics, responsible for clean energy supply, is demanding regarding enterprises’ strength in all respects, such as core hydrogen technology, safety and environmental protection, etc. Censtar’s winning is solid proof of its technological strength.
